EPA-Dominant Fish Oil

Also called High-EPA omega-3

EPA-dominant fish oil provides roughly 2–3 times as much EPA as DHA. EPA is the long-chain omega-3 most directly linked to anti-inflammatory signalling and mood regulation; studies showing adjunctive benefit for depression use EPA-heavy formulas. It is also the form used at higher doses (2,000–4,000 mg/day EPA) to lower triglycerides. If your goal is mood, inflammation, or cardiovascular markers, this is the ratio to look for.

How to take EPA-Dominant Fish Oil

A typical dose of Omega-3 (Fish Oil): 1,000–2,000 mg combined EPA+DHA per day. Best timing: With a meal to improve absorption and reduce reflux. The form you choose mainly affects absorption and how easily it sits with your stomach, not the overall dose.
