Chelated Mineral
A mineral bound to an amino acid or other molecule to improve its absorption and tolerance.
Minerals on their own can be poorly absorbed or hard on the stomach. Chelation attaches the mineral to a carrier molecule, often an amino acid such as glycine, which can improve uptake and gentleness.
Glycinate and bisglycinate forms are common chelates. They often absorb better and cause less digestive upset than basic oxide or sulfate forms.
